AAC BLOCK ADHESIVE – 120

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Application Range

Suitable for adhering AAC Blocks in Constructing walls in accordance with manufacturers instructions.

Surface Preparation

Use a hard brush to remove any loose particles from AAC block. Clean off dust, oil, grease, and all loose contaminating materials or coatings. Ensure surfaces are dry with no residue or permanent dampness.

Mixing of AAC Block Adhesive

For mixing of adhesive material use specified quantity of clean potable water and mix in a suitable round shaped vessel either by hand or with electrical stirrer. Take water in the mixing vessel (always a little less than the actual required for the material as per the specified requirement) put the dry mix material in it. Mix slowly first and then vigorously to make a viscous mortar. Add the remaining quantity of the water and mix to make a homogeneous and workable mortar. Leave the mixed material to stand for about 3-5 minutes and then mix well again without adding any extra quantity of water.

Application Procedure

The placed mixed mortar on the block work in 3mm (As per required by consultant or Engineer) using trowel and place the next layer of blocks on the mortar. The width of AAC Block joints to be approximately 3mm with the mortars (as per required by the engineer). Position the AAC block by gently using a rubber hammer to secure the blocks into position. Use a spirit level to check the level and alignment of blocks.

Clean Up

Clean all tools in water immediately after use.

Dicofix 120 must be applied strictly according to the method of application mentioned in this technical data sheet. Dicofix will not be held responsible for any claim arising out of non performance of the product due to incorrect application procedure or usage of product for non recommended purpose.

Health & Safety

Dicofix 120 contains Portland cement, which after mixing with water becomes strongly alkaline and may cause skin irritation if exposed to such conditions for a long time. Avoid inhalation of dust and in case of contact with eyes and skin, wash with plenty of clean water and take medical help if required. Work in well ventilated condition and use protective kits such as mask, gloves and spectacles. Keep the materials out of the reach of children.
